Ecuador's President Daniel Noboa on Monday announced the launch of joint operations with the United States to combat drug trafficking which has caused an explosion of violence in the South American country. Noboa, a close ally of US President Donald Trump, said the United States was among "regional allies" taking part in a "new phase" of Ecuador's war on the drug cartels who use its ports to traffic cocaine from neighboring Colombia and Peru. pld......
