German government tells its citizens to avoid travel to Israel

Berlin (dpa) - In view of growing tensions between the United States and Iran, the German government is "urgently" advising its citizens against travel to Israel. The Foreign Office adjusted its travel and safety advice for the country on Friday evening. "Travel to Israel and East Jerusalem is strongly discouraged," the office's website states. Israel remains "formally at war." It said German nationals currently in the Gaza Strip or the West Bank......
