KAHENGE, 27 February 2026 - The residents of Kahenge held a candlelight vigil at Kahenge village, Nkurenkuru Constituency on Friday , for Rosalia Andonyo, (39), who was allegedly raped and murdered last Friday by a 22-year-old Grade 9 learner from a local school.

KAHENGE, 27 FEB (NAMPA) – Residents of Kahenge in the Nkurenkuru Constituency on Friday held a candlelight vigil in memory of 39-year-old Rosalia Andonyo, who was allegedly raped and murdered last week.
A 22-year-old suspect, a Grade 9 learner at Kahenge Combined School, was arrested in connection with the incident. He appeared in the Rundu Magistrate’s Court on Monday where he was denied bail, and the matter was postponed to 22 July 2026.
