WASHINGTON, January 28 (RIA Novosti) - US government shutdown apparently made an impact on the country's economy last quarter, but it should be reversed this quarter, Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell said on Wednesday. "The temporary shutdown of the federal government likely weighed on economic activity last quarter, but these effects should be reversed as the reopening boosts growth this quarter," Powell told a briefing.
