Ireland said on Tuesday that it was hiking funding for Holocaust education in schools as a survey showed 15 percent of young people had never heard of it. Foreign minister Helen McEntee announced funding of 100,000 euros ($119,000) for the Auschwitz Birkenau Foundation to support educational programmes in schools. "This educational work will be made available to every secondary school in Ireland, more than 600 schools," she said in a statement.......
