Guangdong carbon market closes higher

GUANGZHOU, Dec. 1 (Xinhua) -- Carbon emissions allowances closed at 40.46 yuan (about 5.71 U.S. dollars) per tonne on Monday, 1.56 percent up from last transaction day at Guangzhou Emissions Exchange, the largest local carbon market in China. A total of 386 tonnes of allowances were transacted on Monday with a turnover of 15,161.56 yuan.
