Russia's electric, hybrid cars to grow nearly 50 pct by early 2026

MOSCOW, Nov. 24 (Xinhua) -- The number of electric and hybrid cars in Russia is expected to increase by nearly 50 percent year on year by early 2026, Russian analytics firm Autostat said Monday. The fleet of battery electric vehicles (BEVs) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) in the country is forecast to reach 175,000 units by 2026, compared with 117,500 units at the beginning of 2025, said Autostat Director Sergey Tselikov.
