US Seismologists See Large Number of Casualties From Earthquake in Afghanistan

MOSCOW, November 3 (RIA Novosti) - The US Geological Survey (USGS) predicts a significant number of injured or killed as a result of the earthquake that occurred in central Afghanistan. Earlier, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) reported that a magnitude 6.3 earthquake had occurred in central Afghanistan. "Significant casualties are likely and the disaster is potentially widespread," the USGS said on its website....
