Malinin secures title with record free skate at ISU Grand Prix in Canada

OTTAWA, Nov. 2 (Xinhua) -- American figure skater Ilia Malinin broke his own free skate record to win the men's title at the 2025 ISU Skate Canada International on Sunday. Malinin, who also won the Grand Prix in France, scored 228.97 points in the free skate to surpass his previous world record of 227.79 and finished with 333.81 overall.
