Berlin (dpa) - The German government has not paid the Islamist Taliban regime in Afghanistan to take back Afghan citizens who were deported from Germany, a spokeswoman for Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt told dpa. The comments came after a query was made from The Left party about whether the Taliban had been paid to accept 81 men deported in July.
