MEFT monitors Ais-Ais Resort over wastewater drainage concerns

AI-AIS, 24 September 2016 – The Ai-Ais resort in the far south of Namibia is popular with tourists from all over the world, especially from South Africa, Germany and Australia. WINDHOEK, 02 AUG (NAMPA) -The Ministry of Environment, Forestry and Tourism (MEFT) said that it is closely monitoring Namibia Wildlife Resorts’ (NWR) response to a serious drainage blockage at the Ais-Ais Resort campsite.
This follows recent social media reports raising concerns about untreated wastewater flowing into the Fish River, as well as risks to environmental health and visitor safety.
