Jerome B., the prime suspect in the kidnapping and death of Lyhanna in Fleurance had been the subject of several complaints and reports of rape of minors. Some had been dismissed, but one of them, filed in August 2025, had not been followed up with a sufficiently prompt investigation. And he had neither been questioned nor taken into custody.
