A wildfire broke out on July 4 at around 19h30 (1730 GMT) in a hard-to-reach massif near Trevillach, in the Pyrenees-Orientales department of southern France and spread rapidly overnight, burning through nearly 1,000 hectares by the morning of July 5, but the fire is no longer spreading freely, according to the prefecture.
