Latvia industrial output rises 0.3% in August

Riga (dpa-AFX) - Latvia's industrial production returned to growth in August after declining for the first time in 15 months in July, official data showed on Tuesday. Industrial output rose by a calendar-adjusted 0.3% year-on-year in August, reversing a 0.2% decline in July, according to the Official Statistics Portal. Mining and quarrying output jumped by 36.1%, accelerating from growth of 12.4% in July, while manufacturing output rose by 7.6%,......
