Ethiopia's Guye Adola won the Berlin Marathon on Sunday, finishing the race in an unofficial time of 2hr 02min 51sec. Adola's time was the 11th best time in history but off world record pace and outside the course record of 2:01:09, set in 2022 by five-time Berlin winner Eliud Kipchoge. As Adola crossed the finish line, countrywoman Tigst Assefa was on track to break the women's world record, with just over five kilometres remaining. dwi/mw ...
