Finland's Olkiluoto-3 Nuclear Plant Reactor Cuts Power Due to Malfunction - Operator

MOSCOW, August 17 (RIA Novosti) - The third power unit at Finland’s Olkiluoto nuclear power plant has reduced its power output due to a technical malfunction, plant operator Teollisuuden Voima (TVO) said on Monday. "Due to a technical fault in two main primary coolant pumps at the Olkiluoto 3 (OL3) nuclear island, the unit will continue operating at a steady output level of approximately 1,300 MW (around 84% of full capacity) for the coming weeks......
