The Japanese economy remained resilient in the second quarter despite the impact of the Iran war, official data showed Monday, with gross domestic product expanding 0.3 percent. The preliminary reading released by the cabinet office was however weaker than market expectations of 0.5 percent growth, but will still likely boost expectations that the Bank of Japan will hike interest rates. kh-stu/tc ...
