Iraqi Authorities Acquire 580,000 Weapons of Armed Groups — Official

BEIRUT, August 16 (RIA Novosti) - Approximately 580,000 weapons belonging to civilians and tribes within the armed groups have been registered in Iraq as part of a campaign to establish state arms control, Lieutenant General Saad Maan, head of Iraq's Security Media Cell, has said. "To date, approximately 580,000 weapons belonging to civilians and tribes have been registered, with the registration rate at around 6,000 per week through 848 branches......
