Partial solar eclipse has begun off the coast of Alaska

Washington (dpa) - The solar eclipse, which will also be visible across Europe Wednesday evening, has begun. According to astronomers' calculations, the partial phase began at 1534 GMT near the Pacific coast of Alaska. Viewed from Central Europe, the sun will be partially obscured by the Moon, by around 85 to 90%. In Germany, for example, the partial solar eclipse will begin at the northern tip of Sylt Island at 7.11 pm and Munich at around 7.2......
