Berlin (dpa) - Just 10% of the German population was between 15 and 24 years old at the end of last year, with the figure even lower in the country's eastern states, the Federal Statistical Office reported on Monday. In the eastern state of Brandenburg, which surrounds the city-state of Berlin, young people aged 15 to 24 made up 8.8% of the population.
