Global Copper Price Hits Record High for 2nd Consecutive Day

MOSCOW, August 6 (RIA Novosti) - Copper prices rose more than 1% on Thursday, hitting a record high for the second straight day and surpassing $6.80 per pound for the first time in history, according to trading data. As of 10:20 GMT, September copper futures on Comex were up 1.32% at $6.8163 per pound. The current record high stands at $6.859.
