German inflation to rise in July after fuel tax cut ends

Frankfurt (dpa) - German consumer inflation is expected to increase in July following the end of the government's temporary fuel tax relief, when figures are published on Thursday. The Federal Statistical Office of Germany is scheduled to publish its preliminary estimate for July 2026 inflation on Thursday afternoon.
