MOSCOW, July 28 (RIA Novosti) - A team of astronomers from the Chile-based European Southern Observatory (ESO) has likely detected, for the first time, a faint companion star to the red supergiant Betelgeuse, located in the constellation of Orion, the ESO said on Tuesday.
