General Motors reported a dip in second-quarter US car sales on Wednesday but pointed to strong vehicle pricing and robust demand for trucks despite rising gasoline costs. The Michigan auto giant delivered 714,896 vehicles, down 4.2 percent from the year-ago period, with discontinued products accounting for slightly more than half the difference.
