UK Detains Indian Citizen on Board Seized Tanker Smyrtos – Defense Ministry

MOSCOW, June 15 (RIA Novosti) - The United Kingdom has detained an Indian citizen on board a seized Cameroonian-flagged tanker, Smyrtos, on suspicion of sanction violations, British Defense Minister Dan Jarvis said on Monday. "The vessel is now secured outside of port limits at Weymouth anchorage. A 38-year-old Indian national has been arrested on suspicion of suspected sanctions offenses," Jarvis said in parliament​​​.
