The International Monetary Fund on Thursday announced it was stepping up financial support for at least four African countries to help them manage the economic fallout of the US-Israel war on Iran. IMF chief spokesperson Julie Kozack told reporters in Washington that the multilateral lender would provide increased or accelerated access to funds to Ethiopia, The Gambia and Burkina Faso.
