MOSCOW, June 1 (RIA Novosti) - About 2,000 US diplomats left the foreign service in 2025, either through layoffs or forced resignations, the NBC broadcaster reported, citing the American Foreign Service Association (AFSA). State Department officials believe this wave of dismissals puts the United States at a disadvantage at a time when the country faces a number of foreign policy crises, NBC reported.
