Germany to Spend Over 4% of GDP on Defense in 2026 - Foreign Minister

MOSCOW, May 22 (RIA Novosti) - Germany will spend more than 4% of its GDP on defense this year and is moving toward the target level of 5%, German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul said on Friday. "This year, in budgetary terms, we will have exceeded 4% [of GDP]," Wadephul was quoted as saying by the DPA news agency.
