KATIMA MULILO, 22 MAY (NAMPA) – The Chief Firefighter at the Mariental Municipality, Dirk Cloete, said firefighters serve in silence, often unnoticed, under-resourced, but always prepared to respond when people are in danger.
Cloete made the remarks at the belated International Firefighters' Day (IFFD) commemoration held at the Katima Mulilo Fire Station on Thursday.
