Nigeria's army says Boko Haram jihadists were behind the kidnapping of dozens of children in a rare attack on several schools in the south of the country last week. Kidnappings for ransom are an ongoing battle for authorities in northern Nigeria but the mass abductions were unusual for southern Oyo, one of Nigeria's most populous states and whose capital Ibadan is a major education hub.
