Germany's Siemens to sell up to 200 trains to Swiss railway company

Munich (dpa) - The Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) are purchasing up to 200 trains from German conglomerate Siemens. An order has already been placed for 116 Desiro double-decker trains, with an option for a further 84, the Munich-based company said on Thursday. The contract is worth around 2 billion Swiss francs ($2.6 billion). The trains are due to enter service on the Zurich S-Bahn suburban railway network from 2031. They offer 540 seats and a......
