Carmaker Stellantis returns to profit in first quarter

Amsterdam (dpa) European carmaker Stellantis, which owns brands including Citroen, Peugeot, Fiat, Chrysler and Alfa Romeo, returned to profit in the first quarter of this year after losing billions in 2025, the company reported on Thursday. The group said its global revenue rose 6% to ?38.1 billion ($44.5 billion), with a small quarterly profit of ?377 million, compared with a loss of ?387 million in the same period last year.
