A coroner in Northern Ireland said Thursday that British soldiers shot dead four civilians in west Belfast in 1972 who posed no threat, and used "not reasonable" force to kill a fifth. After a long-running inquest that examined the deaths on July 9, 1972, of three teenagers, a Catholic priest, and a father of six in a housing estate, coroner David Scoffield said three of the victims "posed no threat to anyone".
