Foreign firms see Germany losing appeal, KPMG survey shows

Berlin (dpa) - High energy costs, complex bureaucracy and weak digitalization are eroding Germany's appeal as a business location for foreign companies, a survey by KPMG showed. The study, based on responses from 400 German subsidiaries of international firms, found the country's location index fell to its lowest level since the survey began in 2017.
