Lufthansa cancels 20,000 short-haul flights, consolidates routes

Frankfurt (dpa) - With the announced closure of its regional subsidiary Cityline, the Lufthansa Group is cancelling 20,000 short-haul flights until October. This equates to a saving of around 40,000 tons of kerosene, the price of which has doubled since the start of the war in Iran, Lufthansa said in Frankfurt on Tuesday.
