Belgium Spends Only Fifth of Defense Budget on US Weapons - Defense Minister

MOSCOW, April 20 (RIA Novosti) - Belgium spends only a fifth of its defense budget on US-made weapons, while the Belgian defense industry accounts for almost half of the expenses, with the rest being spent on arms purchases from EU countries, Belgian Defense Minister Theo Francken said in an interview with La Libre newspaper published on Monday.
