MOSCOW, April 20 (RIA Novosti) - More than 3,000 children have suffered sexual abuse by Spanish Catholic clergy and laypeople, El Pais newspaper reported on Monday, citing results of its own investigation. Since the investigation was launched in 2018, the number of documented cases of child sexual abuse within the Spanish Catholic Church has increased from 34 to 3,081.
