The IMF on Tuesday lowered its forecast for Chinese economic growth this year to 4.4 percent, despite reduced US tariffs and stimulus measures aimed at mitigating the impact of the Middle East conflict. The new projection, published in the International Monetary Fund's latest World Economic Outlook report, is slightly lower than its previous forecast of 4.5 percent announced in January.
