German exports rise slightly in February following early-year slump

Frankfurt (dpa) - Exports by German businesses increased by 3.6% month-on-month in February, according to official figures released on Thursday, in what marked a sign of hope following a slump at the start of the year. Goods worth a total of ?135.2 billion ($157.6 billion) were sold abroad in February, the Federal Statistical Office said in a statement citing preliminary figures.
