A Moroccan court has sentenced former minister and opposition figure Mohamed Ziane to five years in prison over graft, his lawyer told AFP on Wednesday. Ziane has alleged that he is being prosecuted and convicted because of his opinions, while authorities insist that the criminal proceedings against the former minister of human rights have nothing to do with his political stances.
