Germany's DAX soars by nearly 5% as investors welcome Iran truce

Frankfurt (dpa) - Germany's leading DAX stock market index surged by 4.9% on Wednesday morning in response to the two-week ceasefire between the United States and Iran announced overnight. The blue chip index rose to 24,033 points at opening, up from 22,921 on Tuesday at closing.
