Berlin (dpa) - German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius has responded to an outcry over a new rule that requires men aged between 17 and 45 to obtain authorization from the military for extended stays abroad of more than three months. The rule is part of Germany's new military service law, which came into force on January 1. However, this element had been largely overlooked before media reports in recent days.
