Daimler Truck profits drop by 34% in 2025 as US tariffs weigh

Stuttgart (dpa) - Profits for German commercial vehicle manufacturer Daimler Truck were down by 34% in 2025 as the company came under pressure from US tariffs and weak demand in North America, Daimler Truck said on Thursday. Consolidated net income fell to ?2 billion ($2.3 billion) compared to around ?3.1 billion in the previous year, the firm, which is based near Stuttgart, said in a statement.
