China's STAR Composite Index opens lower Monday

BEIJING, March 2 (Xinhua) -- The STAR Composite Index, which reflects the performance of stocks on China's sci-tech innovation board, opened 1.69 percent lower at 1,818.59 points on Monday. The STAR 50 Index, which tracks the 50 largest stocks listed on the board that also meet certain liquidity requirements, opened 1.9 percent lower at 1,459.78 points.
