Hamburg (dpa) - Heidenheim coach Frank Schmidt has all but given up hope that his bottom ranked team can avoid Bundesliga relegation. A 2-0 defeat at fellow strugglers Werder Bremen on Saturday was Heidenheim's 11th game in a row without victory. With a tally of 14 points from 24 matches they are eight points adrift of the relegation play-off spot and nine from safety.
