Three Kuwaiti soldiers were injured by shrapnel when a base housing US personnel was targeted earlier on Saturday, a Kuwait defence ministry spokesman said, as Iran hit the Gulf in retaliation for US and Israeli attacks. Earlier, the health ministry said 12 people had been injured during and in the aftermath of the strikes. It was unclear if the three soldiers were among the toll.
