Odermatt back to winning ways, closes in on downhill World Cup title

Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany (dpa) - Marco Odermatt returned to winning ways after missing out on gold at the recent Winter Olympics when he led a Swiss downhill podium sweep on Saturday and closed in on the World Cup discipline title. Odermatt clocked 1 minute 47.57 seconds on the treacherous Kandahar piste in Germany as he won four-hundredths of a second ahead of Alexis Monney and .98 clear of Stefan Rogentin.
