German parliament amends Aviation Security Act for drone defence

Berlin (dpa) - Germany's Bundestag has approved changes to the Aviation Security Act to allow the Bundeswehr, or armed forces, to be deployed for domestic drone defence. The amendment passed on Thursday expressly states that the armed forces may provide administrative assistance in defending against unmanned aerial vehicles - and if necessary, even with armed force.
