German trade with Eastern Europe grows at above average rate

Berlin (dpa) - Germany's foreign trade with Eastern Europe and the former Soviet republics grew at an above average rate last year, the Committee on Eastern European Economic Relations said on Tuesday. The trade volume increased by 3.4% to some ?550 billion ($648 billion), thus growing more strongly than German foreign trade overall, which saw 2.4% growth, the committee reported.
