Snow storms disrupted air travel, closed roads and schools and cut power to tens of thousands of people across Romania on Wednesday, the authorities said, placing the country on high alert. Blizzards and heavy snow hit the centre, south and east of the country, cutting power to more than 166,00 homes across 10 regions, said officials.
